For the first time ever, the Super Bowl will have an alternate telecast. And that alternate telecast will be featured on… Nickelodeon!

The NFL revealed the major announcement today, as NFL fans and SpongeBob diehards alike will have the option of watching this year’s big game on the slime-filled children’s network.

While CBS Sports is slated to produce the main broadcast of Super Bowl 58 for CBS and Paramount+, Nickelodeon will have their own feed with all of the usual on-field graphics and special guest hosts that they’ve utilized in previous broadcasts for NFL games…

And if we’re lucky, we might even get to see Patrick roast a quarterback!

Nickelodeon has broadcast a few NFL games already, including a Wild Card showdown between the Bears and Saints from the 2020 season. They’re also set to bring us all their antics during a Christmas Day battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders.

Now, following this major announcement, it looks like we’ll get to see SpongeBob and the gang for not one, but two games this season! It’s an announcement that should be met with a lot of excitement from fans, as these games always tend to be a Goofy Goober good time.
