After a stellar first season in Colorado, Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders has decided to return to Boulder for another year.

On X/Twitter, Sanders announced that he’s returning to the Buffaloes football program for 2024, rather than declare for April’s NFL Draft.

Sanders was considered one of the top draft prospects for 2024. But like Texas Longhorns star Quinn Ewers, Sanders has decided to delay his eventual jump to the pros by committing to another year of college ball.

Shedeur came over to join his father, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, last year. The two were previously together with the Jackson State Tigers, whom “Coach Prime” led to consecutive SWAC Championships.

Colorado jumped out to a surprising 3-0 start, only to drop eight of their final nine games. Despite their struggles over the nine-game stretch, Shedeur was a bright spot all season long with 3,230 passing yards, 27 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.
