Brittney Griner was feeling the love on Wednesday.

The WNBA icon and two-time Olympic gold medalist took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to share an intimate message for her wife, Cherelle Griner.

“When I think of L.O.V.E. the first and only thing that comes to mind is Y.O.U (Heart Emoji).

Griner posted a picture of the couple hugging each other.

Back in December, it was announced Disney and ESPN have joined hands to portray the story of WNBA star Brittney Griner’s detainment in Russia in various formats.

This will include several projects: a documentary for ESPN films, an exclusive first interview on ABC with Robin Roberts, and possibly a scripted series with an ABC signature.

Following ten months in Russian captivity, Griner’s inspiring performance on the court was truly award-worthy. Griner was named by the Associated Press as one of two WNBA Comeback Players of the Year.

During the 2023 season, Griner averaged 17.5 points per game and grabbed 195 rebounds while making the eighth All-Star Game of her career.

Now a free agent heading into 2024, Griner made it clear that her first choice is to re-sign with the Mercury.

She also expressed hope to join the US Olympic Team for the Paris 2024 Games.
