Charles Oliveira on Arman Tsarukyan’s claims ahead of UFC 300
Charles Oliveira seems confident going into potentially the biggest fight of his career. Oliveira who holds a third degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu is probably the most dangerous fighter off his back. Recently his opponent Arman made a claim that the only thing that’s dangerous about Oliveira is his grappling and he is dangerous off his back. To the claims made by Arman, Charles replied,
It’s too much bullsh*t they talk. It was said I am a quitter, but I was knocked down, walked forward and knocked them out. I also said I’m not hungry that I don’t want it anymore.
Oliveira made it clear that he does not agree with Arman who claimed that Charles is one dimensional. Oliveira emphasized on the fact that he has defied odds before and knocked out several of his opponents in an emphatic fashion. He also claimed that he is super aggressive going forward and has hurt his opponents even when he was knocked down earlier in the fight.
If he wins this bout he will be in contention for the championship title. Oliveira was set to take on Islam Makhachev last year but suffered from a brutal injury when a cut opened up above his eye resulting in him pulling out of the bout. It’ll be interesting to see how he deals with Arman’s striking in their bout at the UFC 300.
It’ll be interesting to see if Charles can become a two-time UFC champion by reclaiming his title from Islam. Arman Tsarukyan is not going to be a walk in the park for the Brazilian as the man is versatile in all areas of mixed martial arts.
