Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will fight for the first-ever undisputed world heavyweight champion in the four-belt era in just over a week. The heavyweight division has not had an unchallenged champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.
However, that will all change on May 18 when Fury and Usyk earn large sums of money as they try to create history.
The Independent reports that the two competitors will divide a purse fund of $150 million (£116 million). With a 70/30 split in Fury’s favour, ‘The Gypsy King’ will take home a record-breaking $105 million in earnings, while Usyk will take home $45 million.

More Details On Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury Purse
The first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years will be crowned next weekend when Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk fight in a historic match.
The WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF belts will be united by the match winner between the two opponents on May 18 at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.
The fight between Fury and Usyk was scheduled for February but was cancelled because the “Gypsy King” had injured his eye badly.
The exact amount won’t be known until after the fight, but there have already been strong hints that Fury may have made over $100 million. Promoter Bob Arum talked about the fight’s compensation, saying the “Gypsy King” wouldn’t be satisfied if he was only offered $100 million.
The 35-year-old will still easily surpass his previous best purse of $78 million, which he won when he last faced Francis Ngannou.
That evening, Fury defeated the former UFC heavyweight champion by a razor’s edge in a split decision. Even though it was only an exhibition fight, many onlookers claimed that Ngannou should have won. Still, the judges present at the event disapproved, saving Fury from what could have been an embarrassing loss.
They will ultimately have to forfeit some of their own money if the fight has to be postponed a second time because one of them pulls out. Should Fury or Usyk withdraw, their opponent will be entitled to £8 million in compensation.
