Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are scheduled to go head-to-head this Sunday in what will be their third matchup against each other in the WNBA.

While the rookies developed a college rivalry sparked by Reese’s taunting in the 2022/23 National Title game, Clark doesn’t see it as that.

The Indiana Fever are hoping to go 3-0 against the Chicago Sky after winning their first two games. Despite the buildup and the storylines, Clark has denied that there’s no rivalry between herself and Reese.

“I’m pretty sure that the only people who view this as a rivalry is all of you,” she said after helping the Fever beat the Atlanta Dream on Friday night, per FOX News. “For us, it’s just a game of basketball. That’s what it is. If it’s going to help move the game forward, then absolutely. That’s amazing. That’s what it should be. People can talk about it.”

Reese didn’t appear to be very fond of Caitlin in the video below, however.

Caitlin Clark Defended Angel Reese After The National Title Game

Angel Reese drew lots of criticism for her taunts at the end of last year’s National Title game, but Caitlin Clark didn’t think that should have been the case.

“I compete, she competed. It was a super, super fun game. I think that’s what’s going to bring more people to our game,” she said back then.

Reese said she and Clark were “cool” back in February. They were also seen together at the WNBA Draft.

The Sky rook appeared to take a shot at Clark on social media last month, but her mom said it was a jab at the media.
