BREAKING: Former Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach Jack Del Rio Arrested On Disturbing Charges
Jack Del Rio is in some serious trouble.
The former Jacksonville Jaguars and current Wisconsin football senior advisor was arrested early Friday for operating while intoxicated, per ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
Madison police said Del Rio “showed signs of impairment.”
“We take matters like this very seriously and we are continuing to gather information,” Wisconsin said in a statement.
In the incident report, witnesses directed cops to the driver, who was reportedly walking away from the area.
No injuries were reported.
Although Del Rio was arrested, he was eventually released to a responsible party, according to the incident report.
Del Rio has plenty of experience as an NFL coach. He was a head coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Oakland Raiders. He also served as a defensive coordinator with the Washington Commanders, Denver Broncos, and Carolina Panthers.
Jack Del Rio has an overall record of 93-94 as a head coach.
In three trips to the playoffs over 12 seasons, he has a 1-3 record.
Del Rio was a head coach for 12 seasons with the Jaguars and Raiders.
Jack Del Rio Was Fired During Previous Stint In The NFL
Wisconsin football staff member Jack Del Rio was arrested for operating while intoxicated early Friday.
He has not been in the NFL for over a year now.
Del Rio was fired as Washington Commanders defensive coordinator in November 2023. He was dismissed after a 45-10 Thanksgiving Day beatdown at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.
He has been in the college ranks ever since with Wisconsin.
