Week 13 was another exciting week of football, as the league’s best running backs continued to make their mark as, arguably, the best in the business. Other running backs continued to be reliable workhorses for their respective teams, while a couple of names struggled against very tough and formidable defenses. There are only five more weeks to go in the regular season, and a lot can happen in that short amount of time.

Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams’ running backs after week 13.

Who are the top running backs in the NFL after week 13?

Arizona Cardinals: James Conner: C

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – DECEMBER 01: James Conner #6 of the Arizona Cardinals runs with the ball as Byron Murphy Jr. #7 and Josh Metellus #44 of the Minnesota Vikings look to make a tackle during the second quarter at U.S. Bank Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Photo by Stephen Maturen/Getty Images)

Conner had a good day on the ground for the Cardinals, but his efforts weren’t enough in the team’s 22-23 loss on the road against the Minnesota Vikings. Conner rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries and caught three receptions for 13 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see Conner score a touchdown, but the Redbirds failed to capitalize on six of their seven trips to the red zone, and Chad Ryland had to settle for a few field goals instead. Conner and the Redbirds return home for a week 14 showdown against the Seattle Seahawks coming to town.

Atlanta Falcons: Bijan Robinson: A-

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – DECEMBER 01: Bijan Robinson #7 of the Atlanta Falcons runs with the ball during the second quarter against the Los Angeles Chargers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Robinson was one of a few Falcons players to bring life to the team in their 13-17 loss at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. Robinson rushed for 102 yards on 26 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught six receptions for 33 yards. Robinson was very effective in the Falcons’ offense and deserved credit for his efforts on the field.

Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry: B-

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – DECEMBER 01: Derrick Henry #22 of the Baltimore Ravens runs the ball during the third quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles at M&T Bank Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland. Philadelphia defeated Baltimore 24-19. (Photo by Greg Fiume/Getty Images)

Henry had a good afternoon for the Ravens, even though they lost 19-24. Henry rushed for 82 yards on 19 carries and caught three receptions for 29 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see Henry score a touchdown, but he still had an effective afternoon on the ground for the Ravens.

Buffalo Bills: James Cook: A-

ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK – DECEMBER 01: James Cook #4 of the Buffalo Bills runs the ball up the field against Ji’Ayir Brown #27 of the San Francisco 49ers in the second quarter of a game at Highmark Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Orchard Park, New York. (Photo by Timothy T Ludwig/Getty Images)

Cook had an impressive game in the snow, as he and the Bills easily defeated the San Francisco 49ers 35-10. Cook rushed for 107 yards on 14 carries and scored a 65-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Cook took advantage of going through the struggling and injury-plagued 49ers, as they were, apparently, heavily affected by not being used to playing in frigid winter-like weather. Cook and the Bills travel to the West Coast for a week 14 showdown against the Los Angeles Rams.

Carolina Panthers: Chuba Hubbard: D

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – DECEMBER 01: Chuba Hubbard #30 of the Carolina Panthers runs the ball during the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Bank of America Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Grant Halverson/Getty Images)

Hubbard had a bit of a tough afternoon for the Panthers in their 23-26 overtime loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hubbard rushed for 43 yards on 12 carries but didn’t score a touchdown and lost a fumble in overtime, which was recovered by Yaya Diaby of the Bucs. This recovery would eventually set up kicker Chase McLaughlin’s game-winning field goal. Losing fumbles stings, but losing a fumble that cost Hubbard’s team the victory isn’t a good feeling. Hubbard needs to bounce back and maintain the ball better in the remaining five weeks of the season.

Chicago Bears: D’Andre Swift: D+

DETROIT, MICHIGAN – NOVEMBER 28: D’Andre Swift #4 of the Chicago Bears plays against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on November 28, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

Swift had a somewhat rough afternoon for the Bears, as they lost 20-23 against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. The Bears running back rushed for 39 yards on 11 carries and caught two receptions for 35 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Swift and Caleb Williams ran into a very formidable Lions’ defense, which made things very difficult for Swift to maneuver around in the divisional battle. Swift and the Bears return to action in week 14 when they square off against the San Francisco 49ers on the road.

Cincinnati Bengals: Chase Brown: B

CINCINNATI, OHIO – DECEMBER 01: Chase Brown #30 of the Cincinnati Bengals runs with the ball ahead of Joey Porter Jr. #24 of the Pittsburgh Steelers during the first quarter at Paycor Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images)

Brown had a very good game for the Bengals, even though they lost a very close 38-44 divisional battle against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown rushed for 70 yards on 12 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught three receptions for 30 yards. Brown was reliable for the Bengals’ offense and did everything he could to keep his team in the game.

Chubb may not have had an effective night in the rushing attack, but he was more effective as a pass catcher in the Browns’ 32-41 loss against the Denver Broncos. Chubb rushed for 21 yards on four carries, caught two receptions for 24 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. The Browns’ rushing attack was held to 77 yards on the ground, thanks to the Broncos’ aggressive defense, but Chubb was able to help the team out in the passing attack in the loss.

Dallas Cowboys: Rico Dowdle: A

Dowdle had himself a great game for the Cowboys, as they defeated the New York Giants 27-20 at home. Dowdle rushed for 112 yards on 22 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught three receptions for 11 yards. Dowdle was the shining star for the Cowboys, offensively, as he punched holes in the struggling Giants’ defense all game long.

Denver Broncos: Jaleel McLaughlin: B-

McLaughlin had a nice night for the Broncos in their 41-32 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football. McLaughlin rushed for 84 yards on 14 carries and caught a reception for no gain but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see McLaughlin score a touchdown, but his teammates Javonte Williams and Michael Burton were very effective in the short runs for the Broncos. McLaughlin and the Broncos enter their week 14 bye week on a positive note.

Detroit Lions: David Montgomery: B-

DETROIT, MICHIGAN – NOVEMBER 28: David Montgomery #5 of the Detroit Lions plays against the Chicago Bears at Ford Field on November 28, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

Montgomery had a very nice game for the Lions, defeating the Chicago Bears 23-20. Montgomery rushed for 88 yards on 21 carries and caught three receptions for 36 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs played very well against the Bears’ defense, as they ran right through them for most of the game, but it would’ve been nice to see Montgomery or Gibbs score a rushing touchdown in the contest.

Green Bay Packers: Josh Jacobs: B-

GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN – NOVEMBER 28: Josh Jacobs #8 of the Green Bay Packers carries the ball against the Miami Dolphins during the first quarter of the game at Lambeau Field on November 28, 2024 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)

Jacobs had a nice Thanksgiving for the Packers, as the team defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-17. The star running back rushed for 43 yards on 19 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught four receptions for 74 yards. Jacobs may have been slowed down in the rushing attack, but he was more effective in the passing attack for the Packers. Jacobs and the Packers travel to the Motor City for a week 14 divisional showdown against the Detroit Lions.

Houston Texans: Joe Mixon: A-

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – DECEMBER 01: Joe Mixon #28 of the Houston Texans runs with the ball for a first down against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the third quarter at EverBank Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Photo by Mike Carlson/Getty Images)

Mixon had a very nice bounce-back game for the Texans in their 23-20 close and controversial win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mixon rushed for 101 yards on 20 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught four receptions for 18 yards. Mixon was very effective on the ground and as a pass catcher against the Jaguars.

Indianapolis Colts: Jonathan Taylor: A-

FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS – DECEMBER 01: Jonathan Taylor #28 of the Indianapolis Colts scores a touchdown in the first quarter of a game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. (Photo by Winslow Townson/Getty Images)

Taylor had a very good afternoon for the Colts, as the team defeated the New England Patriots 25-24 in the final seconds of the game. Richardson rushed for 96 yards on 25 carries, caught a reception for seven yards, and scored a touchdown in the first quarter. Taylor got himself back on track with his effectiveness in the team’s rushing attack, which resulted in a very close victory.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Etienne Jr.: D

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – NOVEMBER 10: Travis Etienne Jr. #1 of the Jacksonville Jaguars carries the ball against the Minnesota Vikings during the first quarter at EverBank Stadium on November 10, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Photo by Rich Storry/Getty Images)

Etienne Jr. had a rough afternoon for the Jaguars in their 20-23 loss against the Houston Texans. Etienne Jr. rushed for 46 yards on 13 carries and caught three receptions for 12 yards but didn’t score any touchdowns. Etienne Jr. needs to find a way to step up for the Jaguars with five games left on the schedule, but it’s going to be easier said than done in the team’s week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Kansas City Chiefs: Isiah Pacheco: C-

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – SEPTEMBER 15: Isiah Pacheco #10 of the Kansas City Chiefs takes the field prior to the game against the Cincinnati Bengals at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

Pacheco made his return, off injured reserve, for the Chiefs in their 19-17 narrow win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Pacheco rushed for 44 yards on seven carries and caught a reception for five yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Pacheco received the same amount of carries as Kareem Hunt but had more yardage, as he had a 34-yard run in the third quarter, which led to the Chiefs making a field goal. Having the well-known running back in the lineup will help the Chiefs’ offense move forward as the 2024 season winds down to the wire.

Las Vegas Raiders: Sincere McCormick: C

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – NOVEMBER 29: Sincere McCormick #28 of the Las Vegas Raiders facemasks Nick Bolton #32 of the Kansas City Chiefs during the second quarter in the game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on November 29, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)

McCormick had a nice game for the Raiders but ended up narrowly losing 17-19 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Black Friday. McCormick rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries and caught two receptions for one yard but didn’t score a touchdown. McCormick, who was elevated from the practice squad, helped bring life to a struggling rushing attack, as he looked good against Steve Spagnuolo’s defense. Hopefully, McCormick will continue to shine for Silver and Black moving forward.

Los Angeles Chargers: Gus Edwards: D

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – DECEMBER 01: Gus Edwards #4 of the Los Angeles Chargers is tackled by Nate Landman #53, Eddie Goldman #99 and Jessie Bates III #3 of the Atlanta Falcons during the first quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Edwards and the Chargers’ offense had a rough afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons but managed to come away with the 17-13 win on the road. Edwards rushed for 32 yards on six carries and caught a reception for a yard but didn’t score a touchdown. Edwards and the Chargers’ rushing attack was held to a combined 56 yards on the ground, as he did what he could while J.K. Dobbins is currently on injured reserve with a knee sprain.

Los Angeles Rams: Kyren Williams: A-

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – DECEMBER 01: Kyren Williams #23 of the Los Angeles Rams runs with the ball during the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome on December 01, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)

Williams had a great bounce-back game for the Rams in their 21-14 win over the New Orleans Saints. Williams rushed for 104 yards on 15 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught a reception for nine yards. Williams resumed being the effective running back he is for the Rams as they sprung to life in the second half of their battle with the Saints.

Miami Dolphins: De’Von Achane: D+

GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN – NOVEMBER 28: De’Von Achane #28 of the Miami Dolphins celebrates after a run against the Green Bay Packers during the first half of the game at Lambeau Field on November 28, 2024 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)

Achane had a tough time in the Dolphins’ rushing attack, as the team was served dry turkey in their 17-30 loss against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Achane rushed for 14 yards on seven carries but was more effective in the passing attack, as he caught eight receptions for 56 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. Achane stepped up in the passing attack, and it proved to be very effective against the Packers. However, Achane and the Dolphins’ rushing attack needs to improve in outdoor cold-weather stadiums moving forward.

Minnesota Vikings: Aaron Jones: D+

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – DECEMBER 01: Aaron Jones #33 of the Minnesota Vikings reacts during the first quarter of a game against the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Photo by David Berding/Getty Images)

Jones didn’t have the best day on the ground for the Vikings, even as the team won 23-22 in comeback fashion. Jones rushed for 22 yards on five carries, caught three receptions for six yards, and scored a touchdown. Jones and the Vikings’ rushing attack were held to a combined 68 yards on the ground, but Jones was more effective in the passing attack, as he scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:13 left in the game. Jones and the Vikings remain home in week 14 and will welcome the Atlanta Falcons to town.

New England Patriots: Antonio Gibson: C+

Gibson had a nice game for the Patriots, even though they lost a very close 24-25 loss at home against the Indianapolis Colts. Gibson rushed for 62 yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Although Rhamondre Stevenson had 11 more rushing yards than Gibson, Gibson found his way to the end zone to deliver points for his team.

New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara: A-

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – DECEMBER 01: Alvin Kamara #41 of the New Orleans Saints runs with the ball during the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Rams at Caesars Superdome on December 01, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)

Kamara had a nice afternoon on the ground for the Saints, even though they lost 14-21 against the Los Angeles Rams. The star running back rushed for 112 yards on 23 carries and caught four receptions for seven yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see Kamara score a touchdown as his streak of no touchdowns continues. Kamara is going to have to step up because his teammate, Taysom Hill, suffered an ACL tear and will miss the rest of the 2024 season.

New York Giants: Tyrone Tracy Jr.: D+

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – NOVEMBER 28: Tyrone Tracy Jr. #29 of the New York Giants runs the ball during the first quarter against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on November 28, 2024 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Ron Jenkins/Getty Images)

Tracy Jr. had an okay afternoon in the Giants’ 20-27 loss against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Tracy Jr. rushed for 32 yards on nine carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught two receptions for 33 yards. Tracy Jr. did the best he could to keep the Giants afloat, but his touchdown wasn’t enough, as the Cowboys’ defense was too much for Tracy Jr. and the G-Men.

New York Jets: Breece Hall: C

EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY – DECEMBER 01: Breece Hall #20 of the New York Jets runs the ball up the field against Ernest Jones IV #13 of the Seattle Seahawks in the second quarter of a game at MetLife Stadium on December 01, 2024 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Luke Hales/Getty Images)

Hall had an okay game for the Jets, but his efforts weren’t enough in the team’s 21-26 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. Hall rushed for 60 yards on 12 carries but didn’t score a touchdown and lost a fumble. It would’ve been nice to see Hall score a touchdown, but it didn’t happen. Hall and the Jets have five more weeks to go until their disastrous 2024 season concludes. Hopefully, Hall can finish the 2024 season on a positive note.

Philadelphia Eagles: Saquon Barkley: A-

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – DECEMBER 01: Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles rushes the ball against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

Barkley had another tremendous game for the Eagles, as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens 24-19. Barkley rushed for 107 yards on 23 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught two receptions for 10 yards. Barkley looked incredible for the Eagles as they cruised to their eighth straight win.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris: B+

CINCINNATI, OHIO – DECEMBER 01: Najee Harris #22 of the Pittsburgh Steelers runs with the ball during the third quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

Harris had himself a very nice game for the Steelers, as the team defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 44-38. Harris rushed for 75 yards on 16 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught six receptions for 54 yards. Harris had a very nice bounce-back game for the team after a tough week 12 against the Cleveland Browns. Harris and the Steelers return home for their week 14 match-up against the Browns coming to town.

San Francisco 49ers: Jordan Mason: B-

ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK – DECEMBER 01: Jordan Mason #24 of the San Francisco 49ers is tackled by Taylor Rapp #9 of the Buffalo Bills in the third quarter of a game at Highmark Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Orchard Park, New York. (Photo by Bryan M. Bennett/Getty Images)

Mason had a good night for the 49ers on the ground in their painful and snow-covered 10-35 loss against the Buffalo Bills. Mason rushed for 78 yards on 13 carries. Mason looked good for the 49ers, while Isaac Guerendo scored the team’s only touchdown, and Christian McCaffrey left the game with a season-ending PCL injury. Mason and Guerendo need to continue stepping up for the 49ers moving forward.

Seattle Seahawks: Kenneth Walker III: D

EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY – DECEMBER 01: Kenneth Walker III #9 of the Seattle Seahawks tries to break a tackle by Quincy Williams #56 of the New York Jets in the third quarter of a game at MetLife Stadium on December 01, 2024 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)

Walker III had an inefficient afternoon for the Seahawks, even though the team won 26-21 in comeback fashion. The Seahawks running back rushed for 49 yards on 16 carries and caught two receptions for negative three yards but didn’t score a touchdown. The Seahawks are doing everything they can to get Walker III and the rushing attack going, but it’s been very slow so far. Meanwhile, Zach Charbonnet had 28 rushing yards and scored a rushing touchdown.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bucky Irving: A

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – DECEMBER 01: Bucky Irving #7 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers runs the ball during the second quarter against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Grant Halverson/Getty Images)

Irving had an impressive game for the Bucs, as they defeated the Carolina Panthers 26-23 in overtime. Irving rushed for 152 yards on 25 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught three receptions for 33 yards. Irving had a tremendous day on the ground, but he did have an injury scare, with a hip injury he sustained from the opening kickoff return in the overtime period. Irving said he felt fine after the game, but sustaining any injury should be met with concern. Irving and the Bucs return home for a week 14 match-up against the Las Vegas Raiders coming to town.

Tennessee Titans: Tony Pollard: D-

HOUSTON, TEXAS – NOVEMBER 24: Tony Pollard #20 of the Tennessee Titans runs the ball against Danielle Hunter #55 of the Houston Texans during the fourth quarter at NRG Stadium on November 24, 2024 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Alex Slitz/Getty Images)

Pollard had a bit of a rough afternoon in the Titans 19-42 loss against the Washington Commanders. Pollard rushed for 35 yards on eight carries and caught four receptions for 33 yards, but didn’t score a touchdown and lost a fumble late in the first quarter. Pollard’s lost fumble would be costly because the Commanders immediately scored a touchdown as a result. Pollard and the Titans need to bounce back in week 14 when they welcome the Jacksonville Jaguars to town.

Washington Commanders: Brian Robinson Jr.: A-

LANDOVER, MARYLAND – DECEMBER 01: Brian Robinson Jr. #8 of the Washington Commanders runs for a touchdown in the first quarter of a game against the Tennessee Titans at Northwest Stadium on December 01, 2024 in Landover, Maryland. (Photo by Scott Taetsch/Getty Images)

Robinson Jr. had a very nice game for the Commanders, as they easily defeated the Tennessee Titans 42-19. Robinson Jr. rushed for 103 yards on 16 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught a reception for six yards. Whenever Robinson Jr. is fully healthy and in the lineup, the Commanders’ offense will play a lot better.
