The tension between Belal Muhammad and Dricus Du Plessis is definitely heating up. While the Middleweight champ has been consistently showing up and winning, Belal remains unconvinced about DDP’s potential as a serious threat. He’s made it clear that he doesn’t believe Dricus has faced enough tough challenges to be considered elite. In fact, Belal didn’t hold back, calling Dricus’s fighting style “s**ks” because he feels DDP hasn’t been tested against top competition yet.

On the Jon Anik podcast, Belal Muhammad shared his thoughts on Dricus Du Plessis, questioning his skills. He pointed out that Sean Strickland was coming off a fight with Paulo Costa, which he didn’t consider a strong matchup, and that Israel Adesanya had just suffered a loss. With those factors in mind, Belal expressed doubt about Dricus’s abilities, even going as far as saying he believes Dricus isn’t that good and, in his words, “su*ks.”

He said, “If I am being honest, I think Dricus s***s. I just beat Leon Edwards who was on this long streak. He had to fight Sean Strickland who s***s, who is coming off one win against Costa in a pathetic fight. Even before that, Adesanya, he was coming off a loss. He (DDP) has not had to fight those tough hungry guys that are good everywhere.”

Belal Muhammad Fires Back At Dricus Du Plessis

On a recent podcast, Du Plessis took cheap shots at Muhammad, stirring up a social media storm. DDP claimed Muhammad never fought to keep his title and joked he’s more impressive online than in the ring. He even mocked Muhammad’s weight, arguing that 170 pounds isn’t enough for a tough fighter. Many fans sided with DDP. In response, Muhammad fired back, pointing to his verified account and title belt, and insisted he excels online and in the cage.

To silence his critics, Muhammad needs to face Dricus Du Plessis in the octagon and secure a clear win. This would show that his skills aren’t just talk but real talent. A strong victory would prove his words have weight and he can back them up in the cage, shutting down any doubt and solidifying his place in the sport for good.
