Los Angeles Lakers famous player LeBron James is always in the limelight. Whether it is in the final seconds of a game or in the middle of the game, the camera rarely misses a chance to capture him.

James has been subject to the lingering camera treatment more than a few times this season. This season, he exited the court quickly multiple times, sometimes even before the final buzzer sounded.

In one postgame moment, LeBron James walked off the court immediately after a big win over the Dallas Mavericks back in February. Fans are criticizing this behavior, calling it unsportsmanlike.

In a recent episode of the Mind the Game podcast with Steve Nash, he said his behavior was nothing unsportsmanlike.

James said, “It’s funny, a lot of people see me walking off the court when it’s like time left in the game.” He also added, “It’s funny, a lot of people see me walking off the court when it’s like time left in the game.”

The 21-time All-Star legend shared that he does it after wins and losses. He also added that he simply wanted to head into the locker room as soon as possible to prepare mentally and physically for the next game.

At this point in his career, James does not chase fame or a viral moment. All he wants is longevity and taking care of his mental and physical health for the next game.

Speaking on the latest episode of Mind The Game podcast, James revealed the after-game routine he follows after an early exit.

According to James “It’s funny, a lot of people see me walking off the court when it’s like time left in the game.” He also added, “It’s funny, a lot of people see me walking off the court when it’s like time left in the game.”

“I’ll be sitting in the locker room, foot on an ice bag, ice bags on. I got my smoothie and my fruit, and I’m already getting to it right now. … During a loss they was like, ‘Oh, he’s a poor sport.’ Like, he’s leaving the court. … And then they start seeing me doing it during the wins and they was like, ‘He’s got no sportsmanship!'”

Some times, he lingers, like when he hugged Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler. Throughout his 22 years and counting in the league, this king has unmatched stamina and durability. It makes sense that sometimes, he just wants to go home and rest his feet after a grueling game.
