Jake Paul wants to be taken seriously as a boxer and will do anything to protect his name and brand.

Over the weekend, Paul secured a points victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Anaheim, California. Despite extending his record to 12-1, boos echoed through the arena, and criticism quickly followed.

British TV host Piers Morgan got things going by branding the match an “unwatchable farce” and suggested Paul was “killing boxing” by fighting older opponents.

Just days earlier, Paul had stormed off Morgan’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, calling the host a “fat a**” during a fiery exchange. After the match, Morgan tweeted, “I had a better fight with Jake Paul on Thursday than the unwatchable farce that took place tonight.”

Jake Paul is sick and tired of people calling him a fake fighter who fixes fights, and he’s going to take legal action to address this.

Paul responded on X, saying he has instructed his team to “vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies” about his boxing career. “Expect to get served, you pigs,” he added.

Paul beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night via unanimous decision.

Paul may not have proven himself a world-class boxer yet, but he has proven extremely capable of picking opponents he can beat.

Despite what people may think about him, he still continues to be a draw.

Saturday night’s bout was Paul’s first since he emerged victorious over 58-year-old Mike Tyson in a match-up that was highly criticised by sports fans.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. came on strong against Jake Paul, but it was too late. Paul went on to secure a convincing unanimous decision win during the event.

Not long after the sweat had dried following Jake Paul’s victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., he disclosed he was in talks to fight another former champion: Anthony Joshua.

“Anthony Joshua is an insane fight, but I want that challenge,” Paul said at a post-fight news conference Saturday.

“I like the challenge,” Paul said. “That’s the criticism, people will say, ‘Fight someone in their prime who’s a beast.’ I think people just really want to see me lose. That’s really what the message is behind it all.”
