In a recent statement, Thompson had a deep message for aspiring athletes. He pointed out that achieving great things takes a lot of sacrifice. Thompson stated that even today, he knows that he might not be the first choice. But he never stops doing his work diligently. The Mavericks’ star stated that he has been chasing wins instead of eyeing individual brilliance.
“I was in your position, I was hungry. I’m still hungry. I’m not a 1st option guy & that’s fine be l know l can still impact winning & at the end of the day all that really matters is winning,” said Thompson via ‘theguardwhisperer’ on Instagram.

Thompson played for a total of 72 games this season. He averaged 14 points per game along with 2.0 assists and 3.4 rebounds. Meanwhile, a recent rumor stated that Thompson’s departure from the Golden State Warriors might have a surprising backstory.
Klay Thompson Had A Beef With Jordan Poole?
Klay Thompson had parted ways with the Golden State Warriors. After 13 long years of association, Thompson and the Warriors called it quits last year in July. However, according to San Francisco Standard’s Tim Kawakami, beef might have been brewing. Kawakami stated that tensions with Jordan Poole might have fueled Thompson’s exit.
“I’ve heard this more and more that Klay was not comfortable with this guy pushing him and pushing him and pushing him. And Klay thought, ‘I’ve earned this starting role. Why is this guy keep saying that he should be the starter?’” he said.
