Anything with the name Siren’s Curse is sure to send chills up your spine.

Cedar Point’s new roller coaster has the entire country going insane.

Siren’s Curse, which opened to riders less than a week ago, has an insane build. The ride’s signature ’tilt’ portion has the track break off and tilt forward 45 degrees before reconnecting to another piece of track at a 90-degree angle to the ground below.

The ride vehicle is then released, sending riders into a straight down drop.

A reporter experienced it firsthand this week, and it is just as terrifying on the roller coaster as it is watching it down below.

Thrill-seekers got more than they bargained for on Saturday at Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio.

On its first day open to the public, the park’s new Siren’s Curse roller coaster left riders suspended for just under 10 minutes, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

A spokesperson for the Ohio park told PEOPLE Siren’s Curse “experienced a delay that paused the ride’s operation.” The spokesperson said the ride’s “safety system performed as designed, the ride was restarted,” and reopened shortly after with no injuries reported.

How Social Media Reacted To Siren’s Curse

Cedar Point’s newest thrill machine, the Siren’s Curse roller coaster, opened for the media and coaster fans on Thursday, June 26.

“Leave them coasters alone lol,” one person said.

“Watching a grown ass man scream for his life on a rollercoaster never gets old 🤣,” a second person added.

“There is no room for even a tiny error… How is this worth the risk 💀,” a third person stated.

“Don’t take life for granted, the stakes are too high. There’s so much more to experience out there than an amusement park,” a fourth person commented about Siren’s Curse.

“Oh, heck no, what if the tracks don’t connect properly? I watched too many Final Destination,” a fifth person wrote.

“The tiniest margin for error on that initial part of the ride and everyone in those seats are cooked,” one final person said.
