Offensive lineman Carter Miller previously committed to transfer to the Colorado Buffaloes.
However, he would soon shock the nation by flipping his commitment to the UCF Knights.
Carter Miller played high school football at Ravenwood in Tennessee. At the time, he was an unranked recruit in the Class of 2022 and initially went to play for James Madison, where he spent two seasons before transferring to ULM.
In 2023 with the Warhawks, Carter Miller played in 12 games, primarily at the center position.
On December 15th, Carter Miller made the decision to transfer to Colorado to play under Deion Sanders. He was set to be a key piece coming in to improve an offensive line that has struggled in recent seasons.
Three weeks later, he would make the bold decision to move again and transfer to UCF, a Big 12 rival, instead.
Now that he is headed to South Florida, Carter Miller will play for Scott Frost instead of Deion Sanders. The Knights are going into their third season in the Big 12 and are coming off two straight seasons with a losing record.
Last season, the Knights went 4-8 despite entering with big expectations. At the end of the season, head coach Gus Malzahn chose to leave to become the offensive coordinator at Florida State.
Miller has two seasons’ worth of eligibility remaining.

Transfer offensive lineman Carter Miller is set to suit up for the UCF Knights, and he wants everyone, including Deion Sanders, to know about it.
He’ll soon suit up at the Power 4 level after spending his first three seasons in the Group of Five.
He was so excited to play for USF that he spent 8 hours in a chair to get a tattoo of a knight on his body.
His tattoo depicts a knight riding into battle atop his trusty steed.

“I’m honored to represent UCF,” he said of the new addition.
“This has been a dream since I was a little kid, to be able to play at a program like this… I was super excited to get this. It’s been a dream to play at a P4 school.”
His tattoo is not just for his school, but also because he spurned Deion Sanders and chose UCF.
