Monday night, Bijan Robinson jogged everybody’s memory as to why he’s the Atlanta Falcons’ secret weapon. Robinson ran crazy on the Buffalo Bills, breaking tackles, hitting top speed, and basically leaving the defenders cooked.

Robinson put on a highlight reel performance capped by an 81-yard touchdown. He finished with 170 rushing yards on 19 carries and six catches for 68 yards, totaling 238 scrimmage yards – the third-highest ever in Monday Night Football history. Falcons coach Raheem Morris wasn’t holding back either, calling the 23-year-old the best player in football.

Even four-time NBA champ LeBron James, who recently sent out a stern warning to his financial advisor, couldn’t stay quiet. The same night, he tweeted:

“Bijan so COLD!!!!!!!!!! 🥶”

Bijan Robinson also gave credit where it was due:

“It was one of them plays where it was perfectly blocked up front. They gave me a crease and I took advantage of that crease. Shout out to Casey Washington for that big block… It was a complete offensive effort.”

Through six weeks, Robinson had 484 rushing yards and 338 receiving, joining Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas as the only players to rack up 450+ rushing and 300+ receiving yards through the first five games of a season.

With the Lakers planning ahead how they’d lineup LeBron James, it was also revealed he won’t hit the court during their six-game preseason. Reports from late last week confirmed the 40-year-old is dealing with a sciatica injury.

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, however, thinks the Lakers are playing it smart. He explained on October 13:

“I have no problem with a guy being that old sitting out. He’s not going to gain anything in the preseason. LeBron has paid his dues way beyond what he’s done for the NBA. The Lakers, they just got to stay healthy for the playoffs. Doesn’t matter what they accomplish during the regular season or anything like that. Preseason is great for young guys.”

King James’ durability is known pretty well. Last season, he played 70 games, averaging 34.9 minutes and 24.4 points per game on 51 percent shooting. The Lakers are betting on him being fully healthy when it counts most: the playoffs.
