Former NFL player Keith Browner Sr. passed away on Tuesday, according to TMZ.

The former University of Southern California linebacker passed away at his home in San Leandro, California.

According to his son, Keith Browner Jr., who spoke with TMZ Sports, his father died unexpectedly and has left his entire family in complete shock. He went on to describe that things went haywire on Monday with his father experiencing stomach problems, which caused him to throw up, feel incredibly tired, and stated he would head to the hospital the following morning.

However, when Keith Browner Sr. woke up the next day, he suddenly curled over to the side of a chair and collapsed to the floor next to his girlfriend.

The official cause of death has not been confirmed. However, the symptoms of stomach issues, vomiting, and fatigue, sudden and unexpected collapse may point to a heart attack, as reported by the publication.

Browner Sr. is survived by his five children—son Keith Jr. and daughters Keicha, Amber, Ashley, and Jordan.

His death comes 48 hours after it was announced that former Bengals tight end and NFL broadcasting legend Bob Trumpy tragically passed away at the age of 80.
