The Phoenix Suns’ newest addition, Jalen Green, is again injured. After returning from an injury, the 23-year-old was set to contribute to the Suns’ core. However, nothing went in his favour as the young guard met another anticipated setback, which could affect the Suns’ game plan ahead.

In a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Green was seen grabbing his right hamstring in discomfort. The injury occurred in the second quarter when he drove past James Harden, passed to Ryan Dunn, and held his leg in pain. Later, he left the game and went straight to the bench with help.

Green’s injury created a major gap in the Suns’ core as the young guard started to show his on-court flashes. In his debut season with the Suns, he posted significant numbers and led the team to a 115-102 win in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, his injury is expected to keep him out for at least 4-6 weeks, according to sources.

Green’s injury brought more trouble to his early career. However, the Suns have to wait for more than a month to see him back on the court. Till then, the rest of the talents are expected to continue with their high-level game to add more successes to the core.

Green’s return to the Suns’ lineup ended early after he re-aggravated his hamstring in his second game back. The injury happened just days after his impressive 29-point debut. Despite early excitement, his health became a key concern within the core.

“It’s tough. I’ve definitely been through it. We’re going to rally around him. He’s been putting in a lot of work to get back there on the court,” Booker said on Green’s injury. “His debut the other night was off the charts, so there’s some good in there; we’ve seen a small glimpse of it,” Without Green, Booker will continue to lead and contribute more to the Suns’ success.

Green joined the Suns in a major offseason trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. So the team will be highly anticipating whether he can manage the huge responsibility as he returns.
