OG Anunoby & Karl-Anthony Towns Confront Draymond Green Before He Skips Away From the Scene
This NBA season has been unforgiving for each team, so it has been for one of the league’s top offensive players. While Draymond Green led the charge for the Golden State Warriors, it was one of the few times he was held accountable for his deeds.
As the final minutes ticked away at Chase Center, Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby stepped toward Green, clearly unimpressed with how the night had unfolded.
Earlier in the fourth quarter, Draymond Green grabbed Towns by the ankle during a drive, a play that sent the Knicks’ big man tumbling to the floor. After review, officials ruled it a Flagrant 1.
Green argued, as he often does, then drifted away as Towns and Anunoby stood their ground. There was no extended shouting or argument, no escalation. Just a brief, pointed confrontation before Green walked off, almost skipping past the tension he had helped create.
However, Draymond Green’s physicality and edge have long walked the line, and Thursday was no exception. Still, Towns refused to give the moment any extra weight after the game.
“Ain’t no relevance in my life,” Towns said. “I’m good.”

That response summed up the Knicks’ approach. Additionally, New York was without Jalen Brunson, and Towns was not at his offensive best, finishing with 17 points.
Yet he controlled the glass with 20 rebounds and never let Draymond Green’s antics pull him out of rhythm. Anunoby, meanwhile, matched Deuce McBride for a team-high 25 points and made his presence felt on both ends, including when things got chippy.
Draymond Green Was All Praise For Jonathan Kuminga Amid Recent Drama
Interestingly, Green struck a very different tone after the game when speaking about Jonathan Kuminga. With trade speculation swirling around the young forward, Green made it a point to give credit to Kuminga’s professionalism.
“He’s dealing with it better than probably I would,” Draymond Green said. “At 23 years old, I tip my hat to him. He stays engaged. He’s in here every day, his attitude is the same, and he’s about the team.”
Green emphasized that Kuminga’s response to uncertainty will shape his career, noting that whether he remains in Golden State or not, his preparation and mindset stand out.
It can be a good example of how Draymond Green can still flip the script, offering perspective just as quickly as he creates chaos on the floor.
