The Atlanta Dream are off to a 2-0 start, and Angel Reese has a lot to do with that. Reese went into full heel mode Tuesday night when the team took on the Dallas Wings.

Although the Dream came out with the win, Reese didn’t have her best offensive game on Tuesday night. She went 4-for-11 from the field and just 3-for-6 from the free-throw line. Ahead of the contest, she spoke about how it was a rough game for her, but that the Dream organization was keeping her confidence high.

“I mean, it was obviously rough, rough for me personally, but just being able to fight on both ends of the floor is something that I always know,” Reese said. “If the shot is not falling, I can get it back on defense, but I know I’ll have a better night tonight.

“But my team always believes in me. They put a lot of confidence into me. My coaches put a lot of confidence into me and just compelled me to keep going and keep going. And just being able to have a sister that really has your back is really important. I really appreciate it.”

Angel Reese Gets Booed

At one point during the Dream’s 77-72 road win over the Wings, Reese made her presence known, and fans didn’t like it. She hit three consecutive taunts after scoring off an offensive rebound, the last earning her boos. Once she heard that, Angel Reese encouraged more of it by motioning with her hands.

Her gestures started out with a flex of her muscles before antagonizing her opponents with multiple “too small” hand gestures.

The Atlanta Dream are 2-0 to start the 2026 WNBA season for the first time since 2022. They achieved this following a 77-72 road victory against the Dallas Wings. It was driven by Allisha Gray’s 26 points and Angel Reese’s second consecutive double-double.

To secure their first win, Reese had to deliver a game-winning block. She has been everything for her new team. They are on a great track for Reese to get to her first playoff.
