Danica Patrick Brags After Shooting An Unbelievable Career-Best Score On The Golf Course [PHOTO]
Danica Patrick continues to stay in incredible shape years after retiring from NASCAR. The 44-year-old has been taking a liking to the world of golf.
“I decided to actually learn how to play golf about 2 years ago. Of course it’s a little seasonal, mostly for heat in AZ but also work and skiing,” Patrick wrote on Instagram in March 2025. “I thought I finally had it figured out last fall. Then, I forgot how to hit my driver to start the year off…. Until about 10 days ago. I remembered just as mysteriously as I forgot,” she revealed.
“Golf is a funny game…. And mostly played by those who just love to be hard on themselves. A game you will never master and repeatedly wonder – why am I doing this to myself?”
Patrick, a former professional racing driver, has recently taken up golf as a hobby. Now that hobby is starting to produce results.
Danica Patrick Impresses On The Golf Course
This week, Patrick was on the golf course and revealed that she shot an 83. Shooting an 83 in golf means completing a standard 18-hole course in 83 strokes, which is (11) strokes over par. This is the type of score that indicates a skilled, “bogey-plus” golfer.
That means Patrick had several pars, a few birdies, and limited major mistakes. Shooting an 83 places you in the top 10–25% of all players, per Golf Handicap Calculator.
“Shot a 💯 legit putted out no gimmies no breakfast balls 83 yesterday!!!!!!” Danica Patrick wrote on her Instagram Story.
“And let me tell ya, I missed about 5 very, very short putts. 😩 On the other hand, don’t tell my GHIN. 🤣,” she finished.
The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver has quietly put in the work on her swing over the past two years. She might not be chasing an LPGA Tour card, but Patrick’s determination has turned heads. Maybe in a few years, we might see her actually try and go pro in the game.
