Paige Bueckers Hit Sophie Cunningham With Nasty Taunt After Scoring Over Her Fallen Body [VIDEO]

Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings made a statement on Saturday, beating one of the best teams in the WNBA last season. The second-year guard led her squad to a 107-104 win against Caitlin Clark and Co. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The season opener, dubbed the battle of the No. 1 picks, as both teams had the last four first overall selections, lived up to the expectations.
Bueckers scored 20 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out four assists, helping Arike Ogunbowale (22 points and five assists) and Odyssey Sims (20 points) secure a big win.

After posting up Sophie Cunningham and scoring an opposition-less layup, Bueckers didn’t miss her chance and taunted the veteran guard. She hit her with the “too small” gesture right after.

Then, after scoring over Tyasha Harris, she went after the Fever’s bench. She made another gesture to the Fever’s player, letting them know she was feeling herself.

Beating Indiana, a strong candidate this year, is a great way to start the season. Bueckers could be in for special things this season.
