The New York Yankees dropped their third game against the Chicago White Sox with a 5-1 final score. Ryan Weathers struggled on the mound, but the highlight of the game was Jazz Chisholm Jr. The Yankees’ second baseman was forced to exit the game after he fouled a ball that hit him in the groin area.

It happened at the bottom of the fourth inning when the Yankees were tied (1-1). The Yankees slugger dropped to the ground immediately after taking a hard shot in the wrong area. Crew members rushed to the plate to check on Jazz Chisholm Jr.

While he was down in pain, the cameras panned to the dugout, capturing his teammates’ reaction. Surprisingly, they were all caught laughing while Chisholm was struggling in pain.

Yankees captain Aaron Judge, Trent Grisham, and Clark Schmidt were all seen grinning during the incident. While his teammates certainly meant no harm, the timing didn’t seem right.

Jazz Chisholm’s Injury Is Another Setback For The Yankees

Chisholm is expected to be out for a while. Manager Aaron Boone mentioned that it’s still unclear about Chisholm’s situation. For now, the Yankees have moved Jose Caballero to second base while Anthony Volpe remains at shortstop.

Jazz Chisholm’s injury has arrived at a crucial time for the Yankees. Despite his slow start, Chisholm crushed 10 home runs and is slashing .228. The second baseman was getting hot at the plate, but will need time to get back.

With Giancarlo Stanton and Judge out of the lineup, the Yankees are turning to Cody Bellinger, Paul Goldschmidt, and Ben Rice to carry them forward. The good news is that the Bronx Bombers have played incredibly well despite the absence of their big hitters.

There’s plenty of time for the postseason. Fans are hoping that the top hitters will be back before the playoffs. As for Jazz Chisholm, only time will tell his situation.
