Amid a very busy period in his second term, Donald Trump often finds time to attend sporting events. He landed in Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers during the 2025 NFL season.

He recently spent a weekend playing golf, which raised eyebrows among citizens. Additionally, he will certainly appear at the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Before that, however, fans wondered whether he would show up at the 2026 NBA Finals.

The New York Knicks took a 1-0 lead on Wednesday with a 10-point win over the San Antonio Spurs. They will host the Texans next week at Madison Square Garden. Trump could show up at the event.

Donald Trump Will Attend Game 3 of the Finals

The New York Post reported on Wednesday that Donald Trump plans to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals after the Knicks’ performance ruined his plans to attend Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

“MSG performed security walkthroughs in preparation for his potential visit, according to the sources,” the New York Post reported. “New York City mayor and diehard Knicks fan Zohran Mamdani also plans to attend Game 3, although he is not expected to sit alongside the president, according to sources. The White House did not immediately respond to comment.”

The Queens native will watch the team led by Jalen Brunson try to get closer to an NBA championship next week. Game 3 is scheduled for Monday, June 8, at 8:30 p.m. ET.
