Kamilla Cardoso Gets Emotional After Her Final-Seconds Antics Ruined All The Hardwork

Kamilla Cardoso had been grabbing the headlines for her antics outside the basketball court. Now, suiting up for the Chicago Sky, the star player is trying her best to end the Sky’s morose run in the previous seasons. And she almost succeeded until the last seconds of the game, where the 25-year-old undid all the hard work.
The Dallas Wings had one of the biggest comeback stories of the season. Trailing by 15 points in the fourth quarter, Paige Bueckers and co. won the game 93-92. Sadly, one of the biggest moments in the game came when Cardoso fouled out in the final minute.

Such a play enabled Li Yueru to get to the free-throw line, where she converted to put Dallas ahead by a point. Later on, cameras captured the Sky star sitting on the sidelines, wiping tears from her eyes, in an emotional conclusion to the game.
But before the fourth-quarter fiasco, the Brazilian star left very few grounds for criticism. Playing a blinder, the 6-foot-7 star dropped 26 points from just 29 minutes of gametime. She also had three assists and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, despite the slip, Cardoso’s form will be a major morale booster.
Can Kamilla Cardoso Continue With Her Recent Run?

Ahead of the game, the Brazilian star had a host of issues to deal with. During the final week of May, the 25-year-old suffered health complications that downgraded her injury status. Additionally, the Sky star hadn’t scored more than 15 points in a game previously since May 23. Thus, such a surge will come as great news for the team.
Considering her elite physicality, the Sky needs Cardoso to be on point. Ahead of the game, the Wings’ coach, Jose Fernandez, expressed his concerns about the impressive 6-foot-7 frame. Even Paige Bueckers added, “She’s just a paint presence that you have to worry about.”
Thus, despite losing the game, Sky would want Angel Reese’s former teammate to keep up with her positive surge. However, looking back at the game, Cardoso will surely lament over her controversial moment that might have changed the fate for Sky.
