The identity of the guest who caught Taylor Swift’s wedding bouquet has been revealed.
Ashley Smith, the sister of Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith, shared the news while posting photos from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend on Instagram.
“Celebrated an Enchanting Love S(T&T)ory,” Ashley wrote in an Instagram post. “And somehow… I ended up catching Tay Tay’s bouquet.”
She added that she was hoping the bouquet would bring her “a lifetime of love, luck, and laughter” before congratulating the newlyweds.
Trey Smith has been teammates with Kelce since joining the Chiefs as a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The former Tennessee standout has started 79 games during his NFL career, helping Kansas City reach four Super Bowls while winning two championships.
He is a two-time Pro Bowler.
Guests Have Shied Away From Sharing Photos From Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Wedding Ceremony
Swift and Kelce tied the knot on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Reports estimated that roughly 1,000 guests attended the ceremony.
The guest list included Chiefs players, NFL coaches, former players, musicians, actors and television personalities. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, Andy Reid, Tom Brady, Adam Sandler and Hugh Grant were among those reported to be in attendance.
Sandler officiated the ceremony, while Jason Kelce served as Travis’ best man. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, stood beside his sister as her Man of Honor.
Few official photos from the wedding have been released. However, several guests have shared images from the weekend on social media since the ceremony, including the Mahomeses.
The bouquet toss has remained a popular wedding tradition. According to longstanding folklore, the guest who catches it will be the next person to marry, though many couples now include it simply as part of the celebration.
