Myles Garrett Undergoes Surgery, Placed On IR In Shocking Turn Of Events
Following his highly anticipated debut for the Los Angeles Rams, superstar defensive end Myles Garrett had issues with his health.
Initially, Garrett struggled with significant knee swelling and tendinitis throughout most of his first training camp in Los Angeles. However, the team believed he was ready to go for their season-opening game against San Francisco. Unfortunately, he delivered an incredibly quiet performance, finishing the game with zero tackles, sacks, or quarterback hits.
Consequently, the 49ers easily neutralized him during their dominant 27-7 blowout victory over the Rams.

Following his first game, Garrett admitted to reporters that his troublesome knee was not anywhere near 100 percent healthy. Specifically, he confessed that he spent more time protecting his body on the field than rushing the passer. He even called the outing the single worst version of himself he had ever put on film.
Because the lingering issues did not improve, he will now undergo arthroscopic knee surgery, according to ESPN. Ultimately, the Rams hope to get their star pass rusher back on the field in about four weeks.

Los Angeles may be down, but they are not out.
Nevertheless, the Rams are incredibly lucky to have Aaron Donald returning to the defensive line soon. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year stayed home from the trip after recently coming out of retirement. Fortunately, Donald will likely make his season debut next week to carry the defense while Garrett recovers.
Not having superstar defensive end Myles Garrett is going to hurt, but at least he can focus on his health and come back even stronger.
