Travis Kelce made a massive home buy before he tied the knot with Taylor Swift. The Chiefs star closed on a $5.35 million Ohio mansion in March. He married Swift at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

“The Kansas City Chiefs tight end bought the Cleveland area estate March 2 for $5.35 million … and we’re told he was the only person who purchased the property.”
The house sits in Bratenahl, a village that sits on Lake Erie near Cleveland Heights. Kelce grew up there. The timing raised questions about a family base back home.

The estate covers 3.5 acres. It offers eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Living space tops 21,000 square feet. Builders finished the original house in 1895.
TMZ described a yearlong rebuild.
“The home recently underwent a yearlong transformation … with nearly every detail restored or replaced, including the original door hardware, intricate walnut and oak carvings, cut glass leaded windows and multiple fireplaces.”
Listing agents called the mix Gilded Age grandeur with modern luxury. The asking price sat at $5.99 million. Kelce paid $5.35 million. The Wall Street Journal and local records later backed the sale.
An old ballroom now works as a game room and theater. That fits a player who still lives large in the offseason. He already owns a Kansas City mansion he bought for under $6 million in 2023.
Why Travis Kelce Made the Move Before the Wedding
The couple wed in front of about 1,000 guests in the world’s most famous arena. Hollywood superstar Adam Sandler officiated and NFL legend Jason Kelce stood as best man. Austin Swift served as man of honor. The MSG wedding bill later drew estimates between $20 million and $30 million.
Kelce then showed the wedding ring at training camp. He has not said the Ohio house is their main home nor he said Swift co-owns it. TMZ reported he bought it alone.
The purchase still reads like a roots play. Cleveland sits close, which makes it easy for family to gather there.
Local agents cheered the sale. The Agency Cleveland said it felt thrilled for the new owners and excited for the city. Figurati Construction had bought the house for $1.95 million in 2023 and restored it. The first list price hit $6.99 million.
Kelce is 36 and heading into another Chiefs season. The Ohio mansion gives him a lakefront landing spot near home. Swift still has homes elsewhere. Nothing public ties this estate to a full-time move.
