Sophie Cunningham Talks About Getting Smacked In The Face With S-x Toy [VIDEO]
WNBA player Sophie Cunningham was involved in a series of incidents where neon-green dildos were thrown onto the court during live games.
Starting in July 2025, there was a string of disruptions across WNBA games. Consequently, this is where spectators threw neon-green sex toys onto the hardwood. The following month, during an Indiana Fever game against the Los Angeles Sparks, a lime-green d*ldo bounced and struck Cunningham in the foot.
Cunningham posted a viral plea on X, urging fans to “stop throwing d*ldos on the court.”
Over a year later, she is now speaking out about the incident.

Fever star Sophie Cunningham recently sat down on Theo Von’s podcast. Among other things, they discussed the WNBA incident where a fan threw a green d*ldo that hit her.
“Well, yeah, I got hit by one of them… Yeah, in LA. Hit me in the left foot,” she remembered.

“No, no one’s taking that home. I lowkey kind of wanted to take it home, though, just to be like, I was probably the first person to get hit by a d*ldo while playing in a WNBA game.”
“I actually got made fun of in the locker room because they were like, ‘Have you never seen a d*ldo before?’ And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m playing a basketball game. I wasn’t expecting one to be thrown at me.'”
Sophie Cunningham said she had predicted earlier that season that “someone’s going to get hit in the face by a d*ldo. And then, you know, that’s going to be all over the internet.”
In 2026, there was also another incident involving a s-x toy.
During the 2026 WNBA season, Sophie Cunningham averaged 7.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game with the Indiana Fever. Fans still do not know if she will return to the team. She enters unrestricted WNBA free agency because her one-year, $665,000 contract with the Indiana Fever expired.
She remains a clear fan favorite, but the new front office leader must make the final roster decision since the Fever fired general manager Amber Cox.
