Phillip Schofield has in the past revealed he suffers from ‘eye floaters’, and it’s been a regular battle for the This Morning star.

“My retinas are not removing, ” Phillip explained. “But I have debilitating eye floaters. ”

He added: “I am at the cutting edge at all this, let me tell you, because the primary way to treat them is a vitrectomy, where they are terrible the jelly out of your for a.

“Within 12 months you get a cataract, so they are trying to pioneer some sort of half vitrectomy which first started America – see Actually, i know a lot about this! You have more than half the vitrectomy, take the floaters out, but you don’t attain cataract. And I am praying I might be the first person in great britain to get this! ”

In fact , speaking to do with The Chelsea Evans Breakfast Show, Phillip said that  when he sat his wife down to tell her he was gay and lesbian, she actually thought he was going to tell her he was returning blind.
