The Miami Dolphins announced Thursday that cornerback Jalen Ramsey, running back Jeff Wilson Jr. and offensive lineman Robert Jones have been placed on the injured reserve.

This means all three will miss at least the first four games of the 2023 season, and they’ll be eligible to return in Week 5 against the New York Giants. The Dolphins also announced the signings of corners Justin Bethel and Parry Nickerson and tight end Tyler Kroft.

Last month, Ramsey underwent surgery to fully repair the meniscus in his left knee, and it was reported that he’ll be out until at least December. Miami acquired the All-Pro cornerback in a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Rams earlier this offseason.

Jones signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2021. The Middle Tennessee product appeared in 16 games last season, making starts in seven contests.

Wilson Jr. was acquired in a midseason trade with the San Francisco 49ers last year in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Wilson Jr. became expendable after the 49ers acquired superstar RB Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers.

The Dolphins are coming off their first postseason appearance in six years. They’ll open their 2023 campaign with a road contest against the Justin Herbert-led Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 10.
