Social Media Destroys EA Sports Following Madden 24’s Problematic Launch (TWEETS)
Fans went on the warpath following the launch of Madden 24 on Monday night, with the Deluxe Edition pre-orders going out a bit earlier.
The game promised major improvements but ran into problems immediately after the release as players were unable to get into online matches. EA’s servers broke under the weight of its many excited users, perhaps in the expectation that there wouldn’t be as many gamers trying to play online all at once.
Check out some of the reactions below:
The servers haven’t been the only source of Frustration for Madden 24 players. Complaints about missing artists from the soundtrack, as well as the likenesses of certain players such as Darren Waller, have also surfaced.
On the bright side, the video game has introduced improvements to gameplay, including more blocking and tackling options.
Franchise mode has also been overhauled while minigames are also back and Commissioner’s Tools have been supplemented to cater to additional personalization.
The game brings Superstar Mode back as well, and it comes with a pair of submodes in the form of an individual-based career mode called ‘The League’, and a 3-on-3 competition called ‘Showdown’.
