BREAKING: Rams Receive Devastating Injury Update On Star WR Cooper Kupp
It sounds like the Los Angeles Rams will be without star wideout Cooper Kupp for at least one game as he continues to work through a hamstring injury.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Super Bowl 56 MVP and 2021 Offensive Player of the Year traveled to Minnesota for more analysis on his hamstring injury, which he’s been dealing with since Aug. 1.
Rapoport also stated it appears “less likely” that Kupp will suit up for the the Rams’ Week 1 opener against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field next Sunday. Kupp missed the club’s final eight games last year with an ankle injury.
It’s another unfortunate development for Kupp, who got off to a hot start again last season. He caught 75 passes for 812 yards and six touchdowns, serving as one of the few positives on a disappointing Rams team that finished 5-12 a year after winning the Super Bowl.
Kupp had one of the greatest seasons ever for the Rams in 2021, leading the league in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16). He added 33 receptions for 478 yards and six touchdowns in the Rams’ four postseason games, catching the game-winning touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford late in the Super Bowl.
