Ranking All 32 NFL Teams Top Wide Receivers From WORST To FIRST After Week 4
After Week 4, a far clearer picture is beginning to take form as to which teams have a legitimate chance at being playoff contenders. Clarity is also starting to emerge around the NFL’s top wide receivers, specifically which will reign supreme this year amongst their peers.
Time to review how they are stacking up thus far!
32. Kansas City Chiefs Skyy Moore (Last Week #29)
So, at what point do we talk about Skyy Moore being a complete bust? The Chiefs second-round pick put up goose eggs across the board this week.
31. New York Giants Darius Slayton (Last Week #31)
The Giants were in trouble heading into the season with Darius Slayton slotted in as their number one target on the outside and boy have their chickens come home to roost. Slayton struggled again this week netting just two catches for 23 yards.
30. Carolina Panthers DJ Chark Jr. (Last Week #28)
The DJ Chark Jr. acquisition has been a massive disappointment thus far for Carolina. The former Jaguars standout had another depressingly bad week, catching just two of three targets for 28 yards.
29. New England Patriots DeVante Parker (Last Week #30)
DeVante Parker has really struggled in 2023 to get the separation needed to contribute to a struggling Patriots offense.
It was more of the same this week against an admittedly tough Dallas defense, Parker was targeted just four times, catching two of them, but for only 33 yards.
28. Pittsburgh Steelers Geroge Pickens (Last Week #19)
After a couple of strong weeks in a row, George Pickens hit a wall against Houston, in part due to the injury to Kenny Pickett. At his best, Pickens is one of the most exciting receivers in the league, but he has to find a way to become more consistent.
27. Atlanta Falcons Drake London (Last Week #32)
Drake London’s scoring Atlanta’s lone touchdown was his only saving grace this week, as it was otherwise another down week for the Falcons WR1.
26. New Orleans Saints Michael Thomas (Last Week #26)
It is starting to become clear that we may never see the All-Pro version of Michael Thomas ever again. The Saints receiver made just four catches for 53 yards in a deflating loss to the Buccaneers.
25. Denver Broncos Courtland Sutton (Last Week #23)
There was surprisingly a lot of offense in the Broncos-Bears matchup, but Courtland Sutton didn’t play a huge part in it. Denver’s number-one receiver caught three passes for 27 yards but did manage to get in the endzone, which was crucial in the team’s comeback efforts.
24. Baltimore Ravens Zay Flowers (Last Week #25)
Simply put, Zay Flowers has been underwhelming all season for the Ravens. Week 4 was another meh outing. Baltimore’s first-round pick caught three of four targets for 56 yards.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars Calvin Ridley (Last Week #22)
Calvin Ridley found the endzone for the first time since Week 1, but that was really the only thing that went right for him against Atlanta, as he totaled just two catches for 38 yards.
22. Cleveland Browns Amari Cooper (Last Week #11)
Week 4 was not Amari Cooper’s week. Granted, Deshaun Watson was a late scratch, but one reception on six targets for 16 yards is a tough look.
21. Indianapolis Colts Michael Pittman Jr. (Last Week #14)
Michael Pittman Jr. was surprisingly quiet against Los Angeles in Week 4. The Colts star caught just one of five targets for 15 yards.
20. Chicago Bears DJ Moore (Last Week #27)
DJ Moore finally showed up for Chicago this week and in a big way. The Bears prized off-season acquisition caught eight passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, as Chicago nearly got its first win of the season.
19. Tennessee Titans Deandre Hopkins (Last Week #24)
Deandre Hopkins was solid for Tennessee in Week 4 as they walloped the Bengals. Tennessee rightfully focused on running the ball most of the afternoon, but he chipped in four catches for 63 yards.
18. New York Jets Garrett Wilson (Last Week #16)
Garrett Wilson didn’t have any of the explosive plays that we’ve come to expect from the second-year star, but he did serve as a reliable security blank for Zach Wilson, catching nine of 14 targets for 60 yards.
17. Arizona Cardinals Marquise Brown (Last Week #21)
Brown had himself a decent little week against a tough 49ers defense, catching seven passes for 96 yards—with a long of 41.
16. Seattle Seahawks DK Metcalf (Last Week #17)
Seattle’s offense looked a little bit out of sync on Monday against the Giants. Metcalf only got four targets, but he made the most of them catching three for 34 and touchdown that seemed to break New York’s spirit.
15. San Francisco 49ers Deebo Samuel (Last Week #13)
Deebo was literally a nonfactor in the Niners’ win against Arizona, putting up zeros across the board. San Fran appeared to be limiting his usage though with the game never really being in doubt so we’ll give star receiver a slight pass on this one.
14. Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb (Last Week #9)
CeeDee Lamb is one of the most physical and explosive wide receivers in the league. He didn’t have his best game against Arizona in Week 3, but we haIt was a relatively quiet week for CeeDee, but the Cowboys were in cruise control within minutes of kickoff against New England.ve to give him some props for the monster day he had against the Jets the week prior.
13. Green Bay Packers Romeo Doubs (Last Week #20)
Romeo Doubs had a big afternoon for a Packers offense that was struggling to get anything going against Detroit, hauling in nine catches for 95 yards.
12. Washington Commanders Terry McLaurin (Last Week #15)
He may not have gotten a receiving touchdown, but credit to Terry for finding his way into the endzone on what could’ve been a devastating red-zone fumble. McLauren looked the healthiest he’s looked all year, Howell went his way all game, connecting on eight of 10 targets for 86 yards.
11. Cincinnati Bengals Ja'Marr Chase (Last Week #8)
Believe it or not, the Bengals star still hasn’t gotten into the endzone this year, but he did manage to put up some yardage numbers despite an anemic performance from the Bengals offense against Tennessee.
Chase totaled 73 yards on seven receptions—making up over a third of Cinci’s total yards.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mike Evans (Last Week #4)
Week 4 was the worst of Mike Evans’ young season, but to be fair not much was asked of him during Tampa’s thorough beatdown of the Saints. Evans caught all three of his targets for 40 yards in an easy W.
9. Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams (Last Week #7)
It is a shame that Davante Adams is going to waste the last years of his prime on a disaster of a Raiders team. He put forth a gutsy performance this week, battling through an injury to make eight catches for 75 yards in—you guessed it—another Raiders loss.
8. Los Angeles Chargers Keenan Allen (Last Week #3)
Keenan Allen had a relatively quiet week to follow up his 215-yard explosion against the Vikings, three catches for 32, but—with an important touchdown catch.
7. Detroit Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown (Last Week #5)
With the increased focus on the run game against a weak Packers defensive line, Amon-Ra St. Brown didn’t get the same volume of action as the week prior, but the Lions star receiver did what he needed to, hauling in five of seven targets for 56 yards and a touchdown.
6. Houston Texans Nico Collins (Last Week #18)
Nico Collins is quietly emerging as one of the most exciting players across the league this year. The Texans wideout had another big week, going for 168 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.
5. Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill (Last Week #2)
Definitely not Tyreek Hill’s best week—nor was it the rest of the Dolphins for that matter, but it will take more than a couple of weak showings to push Hill out of the top 5 with the way he’s played so far this season.
That said, it was still disappointing to see him manage just three catches for 58 yards in the Dolphins’ most important game of this young season.
4. Los Angeles Rams Puka Nacua (Last Week #12)
Don’t look now, but Puka Nacua looks like he’s for real. Matt Stafford found the speedy wide out nine times in their overtime win against Indy for 163 yards and a critical score.
3. Philadelphia Eagles AJ Brown (Last Week #10)
They say that the squeaky well gets greased and AJ Brown did well to back that claim up this week, along with his claim that he should be getting fed the rock with more regularity. The brawling wide receiver had a huge game. Jalen Hurts connected with him nine times for 175 yards and two touchdowns.
2. Buffalo Bills Stefon Diggs (Last Week #6)
This was the coming out party we’ve all been waiting for from Josh Allen’s go-to guy. Diggs had himself a massive afternoon turning six receptions into 120 yards and three touchdowns in a throttling of the AFC East-leading Dolphins.
1. Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson (Last Week #1)
Another week passes and Justin Jefferson is still firmly atop the wide receiver rankings. Even amongst a group of freak athletes, Jefferson stands out as being just built differently. Week 4 was a modest performance for the Vikings star and he still caught six passes for 85 yards and two of the Vikings three touchdowns.
