Pat McAfee holding a student from Utah

A student from the University of Utah nearly had his entire year made this Saturday, which would have been the case whether the Utes won or not.

Utat is scheduled to play the Oregon Ducks this Saturday, so College GameDay is in town for the clash. Pat McAfee ran a challenge that would pay out a whopping $225,000, A.K.A a quarter of a million dollars, for scoring a field goal.

A Utah student, namely Cameron, took the former star kicker up on the challenge, with Kirk Heibstreit holding the ball for him, and the kick looked to be good before veering wide left.

McAfee, who officially joined ESPN this year, seemed to be pleased the ball didn’t sail through the uprights while pointing out that the effort was very good, which it was.

The Oregon-Utah showdown is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. easter time this Saturday and should be an exciting one, with both teams currently at 6-1 and both ranked 15th.
