The Kansas City Chiefs’ injury report Wednesday had one surprising name on it — Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes has popped up on the Week 14 injury report with a pectoral issue. Despite the injury, he was still a full participant in practice.

Mahomes’ appearance on the Kansas City injury report has put the reigning NFL MVP’s status for week 14 in question, just a few days before the Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in a critical late-season contest for both teams.

As the Chiefs prepare to host the Bills, both starting quarterbacks are actually on the initial injury report. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen has a lingering right shoulder injury as well.

Kansas City is hoping to bounce back from a deflating defeat in Green Bay, while Buffalo will be in further danger of missing the playoffs with a defeat at Arrowhead Stadium.

Barring a severe flare-up or further aggravation to the injury, the superstar quarterback should be good to go when the Bills come to town on Sunday night.

Looking at season stats, Mahomes has thrown for 3,127 yards and 22 touchdowns, with 10 interceptions. He also has 57 carries for 331 yards.
