An Alabama wide receiver has decided to change programs on the back of the Crimson Tide’s Rose Bowl defeat on Monday.

Nick Saban’s side fell to Michigan in an overtime loss, with the Wolverines advancing to play the Washington Huskies in the CFP National Championship game scheduled for next Monday.

Star edge rusher Dallas Turner announced his decision to leave almost immediately after the disappointing result, with the NFL on the mind. The school is also set to lose wideout Shazz Preston as he has opted to transfer in search of a better opportunity.

“BREAKING: Alabama WR Shazz Preston plans to enter the Transfer Portal, he tells @On3sports,” On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported. “The 6’1 200 WR was ranked as a Top 50 Recruit in the ‘22 Class (No. 6 WR) Will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.”

The freshman, who committed to Alabama as the No. 5 player from Louisiana and a top 50 recruit in the 2022 class, didn’t get much action this season and is likely leaving so he could be on the field more often in 2024.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. But we can expect plenty of projections suggesting where he might land in the coming days.
