If there is one name in combat sports that everyone knows, it’s Conor McGregor. The Irish superstar is known for his bold personality and flashy moves. After Jake Paul’s dominating victory on July 20, the ‘Notorious’ took social media with guns blazing. And his target was none other than BKFC champion Mike Perry.

McGregor is a part-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). In a shocking X post, he “fired” Mike Perry from the BKFC. The move left fans wondering if it was just McGregor being McGregor or a serious decision.

“Hey, Mike [Perry] you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired. @bareknucklefc,” McGregor wrote.

Later on, McGregor turned his verbal artillery on the victor, Jake Paul. The ‘Notorious’ colorfully described the YouTuber-turned-boxer and accused him of weight bullying and steroid use, pulling no punches in his criticism.

While McGregor probably won’t fire Perry, this post certainly meant to seek attention. Perry is the current BKFC champion with an unbeaten record in the organization. Firing him at this stage may very well be quite counterproductive for the upcoming BKFC.

Mike Perry Shares His Reaction To Conor McGregor’s Firing Comments

Organization mates Perry and McGregor are going full throttle at each other. This comes after ‘The King of Violence’ lost his much-anticipated boxing bout against Jake Paul. McGregor, not one to accept defeat from his organization’s fighter, promptly fired him. But this is just the start of the story.

Known for his toughness, Perry wasn’t about to take this lying down. At the post-fight press conference, he had a simple response to the ‘Notorious,’ “Me and him are both owners of BKFC. So he can’t fire me.”

Perry further challenged McGregor to fight him in Bare Knuckle. Or better yet, he proposed that ‘Notorious’ should fight Jake Paul instead. Mike Perry stated that McGregor’s defeat would be more embarrassing than his loss to Floyd Mayweather. If the UFC Superstar accepts the challenge, combat sports fans may get lucky enough to see McGregor vs. Perry in boxing or bare knuckle someday!
