The UFC never runs out of fresh rivalries, from Belal Muhammad vs. Sean Strickland to Khamzat Chimaev vs. Dricus Du Plessis. While many never make it to the cage, another one seems to be brewing—Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Chandler. With Poirier nearing the final stretch of his career and looking for one last big fight, he’s already taking shots at Chandler, calling him fake. Whether this feud leads to a fight or just more drama, fans are watching closely.

In a recent chat with Robert Griffin, Dustin Poirier called out Michael Chandler, recalling how their dynamic shifted over the years. Poirier reflected on his time visiting Bellator, where Chandler was competing. Back then, Chandler showed him respect, shaking his hand and giving him fist bumps, admiring his rise to superstardom.

However, once Chandler joined the UFC, that respect turned into challenges and ridicule. Now, with Poirier eyeing a final big fight, tensions between the two are heating up.

To this, Poirier said, “He is a fake bro. He might be a good person at home but in my personal experience he is a fake man. We do this knuckle thing so I was even more mad. Let’s fight then. And he is a cheater. I could go on for days, I get so amped up about this.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Poirier chooses Chandler for his final fight or if he takes on someone else. With Chandler currently booked against Paddy Pimblett, the timing might not line up, but the tension between him and Poirier is undeniable.

With UFC 314 approaching and tensions high, Poirier made his prediction on social media. Despite his ongoing rivalry with Chandler, Poirier backed him to win. While he didn’t hold back on his criticism, he still sided with Chandler, urging fans to bet on him. Whether they meet in the octagon or not, their rivalry isn’t cooling down anytime soon.

This adds another layer to their feud, as Poirier acknowledges Chandler’s skills while keeping their bad blood alive. Whether they settle their rivalry in the cage or Poirier picks a different opponent, fans are eagerly waiting to see how ‘The Diamond’ closes out his legendary career
