Former Bucs Star Who Skipped College Has Died, With No Cause Of Death Disclosed
Former NFL defensive end Ray Seals, best known for his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has reportedly passed away at the age of 59, with no cause of death disclosed.
Seals, who also notably skipped the college process to go pro as one of a select few, appeared in Super Bowl XXX for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is one of the last NFL players to never play college football, something also attributed to current players Jordan Mailata and Brandon Aubrey, as well as former star Antonio Gates.

The Syracuse native played his high school football at Henniger and took some time off before getting back on the field.
He would later join the Empire Football League’s Syracuse Express, where he caught the attention of NFL scouts.
Seals played for the Bucs for two seasons before moving on to the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts, returning to Tampa Bay for two more seasons and then heading to Pittsburgh for another two years.
Ray Seals Managed To Record A Completion On Defense

Ray Seals ended his career with the Cincinnati Bengals after spending a season with the Carolina Panthers.
One of his most notable plays came in the form of him swatting a pass from Brett Favre right back to the former quarterback, which went down as his first completion.
“Please keep our family and especially his children lifted as we try to navigate this deep and extremely painful loss. Rest well, #BigPlayRay, you will always be loved, and never forgotten,” family member Tiffany Seals wrote.
TPS extends condolences to Ray Seals’ family, friends, and loved ones.
May he rest in peace.
