The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for the NFL draft, but one of their former guards needs desperate help.

Mekhi Becton, the Super Bowl-winning guard, has taken to social media to request help for his mother’s health urgently. In a post on X, Becton revealed that his mother, Semone Becton, needs a kidney transplant and has a B-positive blood type.

He emphasized the critical nature of the situation, seeking assistance from anyone who could help.

“PSA: My Mom needs a kidney!!!! If anyone can help please please please let me know!!!!” the former Eagles wrote in his tweet.

However, everybody hopes Becton finds a kidney donor for his ailing mother.

Approximately 9% of the U.S. population has a B-positive blood type. According to the National Kidney Foundation, suitable kidney donors for B-positive recipients can be those with either B or O blood types.

While Becton did not provide specific details about his mother’s medical condition, his plea sounds just like any one of us.

Semone, a trained chef, has been a constant source of support for Becton throughout his career, attending games to cheer him on.

Despite facing challenges with the New York Jets, where he was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Becton found success in Philadelphia after transitioning to a guard position.

His performance helped the Eagles reach the Super Bowl, winning the championship over the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently, he signed a lucrative two-year, $20 million contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.

While Mekhi Becton is facing a difficult time in his personal life, his coach from his last team is not happy as well.

Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland opened up recently about his bittersweet departure.

While Stoutland is genuinely happy for Becton and his family, he can’t help but feel a little sad seeing such a talented player leave the team. Speaking at an event in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, he shared opened up.

“It’s bittersweet. I’m happy for him. He deserves what he gets financially, so I’m happy for him and his family. I’m sad to see him go. I really enjoyed coaching Mekhi… they’re not offended when you coach them, and that really was Mekhi,” he said.

Becton’s journey with the Eagles was quite remarkable. After joining the team last season, he made the tough transition from offensive tackle to right guard. In the early weeks of the season, he struggled a bit, allowing three sacks in just four games.

But once he found his groove, he allowed only two sacks over the next 15 games. Plus, he shone brightly in Super Bowl LVII, not allowing a single sack while playing through a knee injury.
