San Antonio Spurs standout Victor Wembanyama faced challenges during the 2024-25 NBA season due to his medical condition. However, he continues to captivate basketball fans with his exciting off-court endeavours.

Wembanyama made a notable appearance on a live episode of LeBron James’ talk show, The Shop: Uninterrupted, which took place at the Fanatics Fest in New York City this past Friday. During this captivating conversation, he shared insights about his experience at the Shaolin Temple.

“[Shaving my head] is the first thing we did. It’s about Buddhism. I’m pretty sure I’m Buddhist now? They made me say something in Chinese. I’m not sure what it was,” Wembanyama said.

During that show, NFL icon Tom Brady also participated on the panel and was quick to respond to Wembanyama’s remarks. He playfully asked, “You didn’t sign anything, did you?” This amusing interaction rapidly gained traction across social media platforms.

Wembanyama captivated basketball enthusiasts throughout his debut season, achieving notable milestones such as securing the coveted Rookie of the Year award. However, he remains committed to further refining his skills and expanding his basketball knowledge. Recently, during an engaging appearance on LeBron James’ talk show, *The Shop: Uninterrupted*, Wembanyama shared insights about his continual pursuit of knowledge from established NBA stars.

“I have a note on my phone with questions to ask KD, Bron… I had the chance to talk to Jokic for 45 minutes at All-Star. And I’m taking notes. When I’m told something, I don’t forget it. It’s super precious, for sure,” Wembanyama said.

Wemby faced a major setback this season when doctors diagnosed him with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder. At the time of this diagnosis, he was averaging 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, while also leading the NBA with 3.8 blocks over the course of 46 games.
