Buffalo Bills Superstar Pass-Catcher Raises Major “Red Flag” Amid Brutal Injury Update

Things do not look suitable for Dalton Kincaid.

If there is one player who needs to have a bit of a breakout year for the Buffalo Bills, it’s their star tight end.

Kincaid got hurt Sunday when he made a nice catch in traffic, but then tweaked his knee.

As a result, Kincaid missed Monday’s practice due to knee soreness. It’s unclear if the injury is to the same knee that Kincaid had problems with last season when he missed Weeks 11-14.

Prominent NFL doctor Jesse Morse thinks this knee soreness for Dalton Kincaid is a major red flag.

He added, “Sounds like something that wasn’t properly addressed in the offseason.”

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott began his meeting with reporters before practice with a lengthy list of players who have been either dealing with ailments since the start of training camp last week, or are new additions.

McDermott wasn’t sure if Kincaid’s injury was the same one he had hurt last year, an injury that derailed his season.

“He went for a ball, I think there was two or three defenders around him,” McDermott said.

“I don’t know the mechanism, there was contact on the play or if it was just the way he landed or what.”

After a sophomore season short on downfield targets, Bills TE Dalton Kincaid appears to be in line for more vertical looks in year three, according to Bills Digest’s Alex Brasky.

He will need to stay healthy to make that happen.

During the 2024 season, he averaged just 4.0 yards before the catch per reception, tied for the fourth-lowest mark among TEs.

49 of his 75 targets from last season were under 10 air yards. Kincaid has the ability to stretch the field, but it’s hard to build confidence with him if he’s not on the field.
