Saturday night’s game between the Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces delivered more than just basketball action.

The game also featured a special halftime moment that truly captured hearts. During the baby race at the Michelob ULTRA Arena, one little competitor decided to take the next big step in its life.

Baby races have become a beloved halftime tradition at NBA and WNBA games in recent years.

The setup is simple: parents sit at opposite ends of the court while their little ones crawl toward the finish line.

The babies are supposed to crawl.

One baby decided to thrill the Las Vegas Aces crowd and start walking for its first steps ever.

After sprinting into an early lead on her hands and knees, the baby suddenly stood up and took her very first steps, walking directly into her mother’s waiting arms.
