Conor McGregor is keeping fight fans buzzing again after having to back out of UFC 303 due to a toe injury. McGregor has been very open about wanting to run for Irish President. He talks about politics quite a bit these days as he’s not fighting, so he must be serious about this. But the Irish fighter keeps teasing fans about returning to the UFC, mostly for the White House card. Once again, McGregor is signaling that he wants that comeback fight, and big.

McGregor told Adam Glyn that even though people keep talking about him getting into politics, he’s ready to get back in the octagon. The Irish fighter couldn’t hide his excitement. He loves that the event got moved up from July to June, and he even joked about moving it to April so he could celebrate his birthday early. McGregor sees this as his big comeback moment and wants everyone to know he’s ready.

He said, “I am very, very excited, very eager, very motivated; bring it on, baby. I am very happy that it’s June,” McGregor continued. “It was July, now it’s a month earlier. Even better! Bring it to April, why not? Let’s celebrate my birthday early. That’s a definitely (fighting at the White House). For sure. That is my event, for sure.”

The White House lawn setting has McGregor fired up. He thinks it’s the perfect place to show what he does best. After being away from fighting, he’s eager to prove he’s still got it. This isn’t just another fight for him – it’s his chance to remind people why they call him “The Mac.

His comeback seems more possible than ever, given that White has said he wants him for the card, as he needs someone he can blindly rely on. UFC Boss even passed over his usual favorite Jon Jones, saying he’s too risky for such a massive event. Since McGregor was the one who first pitched this whole White House idea to White, it seems like his comeback is really going to happen.

Meanwhile, the UFC head honcho said he will build the card in February and reveal the fighters then. Until that happens, fans have time to make their assumptions and get excited with their predictions. But one thing is sure that with or without McGregor, the event will be absolutely historic.
