You don’t usually think of an NFL stadium filling up for anything other than football, but next weekend in Arizona, the crowd will come up for something other than the game. Basically, they’ll come for Charlie Kirk.

Turning Point USA just announced a massive memorial event for its late founder, and thousands are expected to pour into State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Sunday, September 21. The event, titled “Building A Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” comes less than two weeks after Kirk’s shocking death.

He was shot on the Utah Valley University campus on Wednesday and later died at the hospital. Police arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson and charged him with aggravated murder and more. The tragedy left his followers, colleagues, and family reeling.

And now, the same stadium where the Arizona Cardinals usually battle it out will turn into a place of remembrance. The venue holds more than 63,000 people, and insiders say organizers expect a sea of supporters to show up.

Donald Trump plans to attend. The president spoke soon after Kirk’s death and said he would be at his funeral. Sources tell TMZ that he will join the Glendale memorial, though it’s unclear if Kirk’s family will also hold a smaller private service.

Either way, Trump’s presence shows how deeply Kirk’s influence reached inside conservative politics.

This event is not a funeral. Organizers stress that point. They want the gathering to be a public celebration of Kirk’s life and his work with Turning Point USA. The group framed the memorial as a rallying moment for supporters to “build on his legacy” rather than mourn his loss.

Tributes have poured in since the shooting. The New York Yankees held a moment of silence before a game. Several members of Congress also want a statue of Kirk to be placed in the U.S. Capitol. His wife, Erika Kirk, released a message through Turning Point USA’s website, promising to keep his vision alive.

Kirk leaves behind Erika and their two young children. He was only 31.

When the doors open at State Farm Stadium, fans, friends, and political allies will pack the seats not to watch a game, but to remember a man whose voice shaped a movement.
