Philadelphia 76ers President Drops Unsettling Update On Joel Embiid & Paul George’s Return Timeline

The Philadelphia 76ers had a disappointing 2024-25 NBA season. They finished at 13th spot in the Eastern Conference standings with only 24 wins and lost 58 games. The main reason for this setback was injuries to multiple players. As they look ahead to the 2025-26 NBA season, the health of Joel Embiid and Paul George will be vital to their success.
George played only 41 games last season due to adductor and knee injuries. Even more troubling, Embiid played only 19 games because of ongoing issues with his left knee. These injuries have led to major discussions, with Jeff Teague calling out both Embiid and George a few days ago.
Recently, 76ers President Daryl Morey attended a press conference and dropped an unsettling update on the return timeline for both stars.
“I think we’re–and I think you heard it from them and this is straight from the doctors–we’re not getting into the expectations game. The doctor’s advice, what Joel said on listening to his body, which is a big component in how doctors manage injuries, that’s gonna be what carries the day this year,” Morey said.
