Dana White Dismisses Francis Ngannou’s Claim, Reveals Who Could Face Jon Jones In Biggest Fight
Dana White pushed back on Francis Ngannou’s claim that his fight with Jon Jones at the White House would be the biggest heavyweight fight. However, UFC head honcho sees things differently. As per him, the real mega fight involves whoever wins the Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane rematch.
The UFC 321 no contest left unfinished business between Gane and Aspinall. That eye poke stopped what could’ve been a definitive result, so they need to run it back. Once that’s settled and there’s a clear champion, that person facing Jones becomes the true blockbuster.
White acknowledged everyone keeps bringing up Jones, but said they’ll see how everything plays out. He’s not committing to anything concrete yet, just laying out what he thinks would be the biggest possible matchup.
UFC boss said, “I’d hate to disagree with them but first of all Ciryl and Tom have to fight again and whoever wins that fight, him vs Jon Jones would be the biggest one ever. We keep talking about Jones but we’ll see how this whole thing plays out.”

The comment dismisses Ngannou’s relevance in the current heavyweight picture. ‘Predator’ left the UFC, so White’s not interested in entertaining hypotheticals about fights that won’t happen under his promotion. Meanwhile, Joe Rogan said Jones vs. Alex Pereira would be the biggest fight in history.
Joe Rogan Says Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira’s Biggest Fight In Human History
On JRE, Rogan told Andrew Schulz that he doubts Jones will face Tom Aspinall and believes the real blockbuster is Jones vs. Pereira.
He added, “Make it 225lbs, it don’t have to be for a title, make it Bad Mother Fuc*er upper edition. The Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira will probably the biggest fight in human history.”
Jones staying in the conversation shows he’s still the name that moves the needle at heavyweight despite his retirement. Whether it’s Aspinall or Gane across from him, fans want to see Jones tested by the best available opponent.
