Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Buzz Hits A Wall As One Crucial Thing Still Hasn’t Happened
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been one of the mainstays for the Milwaukee Bucks for a long time. Unfortunately, in recent years, things have turned quite adverse for the team. Currently, the Bucks do not have any All-Stars on their roster. And while Antetokounmpo is looking to bag more NBA rings, staying with the Bucks might not fulfill his need.
Thus, in the recent turn of events, Antetokounmpo’s trade rumors have gained significant momentum. Recently, Jake Fischer mentioned that while the team might not be interested in trading such a big star, it is inevitable that the Greek Freak will be looking for a change.
However, according to Marc Stein, as the situation is getting utterly complicated, there is one major thing that needs to happen. There are a lot of teams interested in roping in Antetokounmpo. But in order for that to happen, the NBA star has to come forward and request a trade.
“Teams are calling the Bucks, & the Bucks at this point keep telling teams, ‘He’s not available. We’re not trading him. The only way there’s really going to be a Giannis sweepstakes—Giannis himself has to go to the Bucks & say ‘I want out’, & that hasn’t happened,” said Stein.

Well, as per the news, Antetokounmpo had reportedly asked his teammates to focus on basketball. And as the drama continues, Kendrick Perkins has termed Antetokounmpo a ‘coward.’
Kendrick Perkins Lashes Out At Giannis Antetokounmpo
Perkins has always been someone who never sugarcoats his feelings. Likewise, looking at all the smoke gathered around the Greek Freak, Perkins did not like the approach Antetokounmpo was resorting to. Thus, he asked the NBA star to come out and clarify his thoughts without keeping his team in the dark.
“Giannis is a coward, respectfully. Come out and say trade me and stand on it. Let’s just call it spade to spade. We wouldn’t even be having these conversations. We wouldn’t be having these back and forths, wondering, ‘Hey, you know what? Shams reporting this, and then all of a sudden Chris Haynes reporting this,” said Perkins.
