Ever since news broke that Ronda Rousey is in talks to fight legendary boxer Katie Taylor, fans have gone wild. Rousey is known mostly for her judo, not her striking, and as soon as the matchup was mentioned, MMA fans immediately began roasting her old shadow-boxing clips.

The former UFC bantamweight champion has often pushed back at fans for trolling her losses, but this potential fight has sparked a fresh wave of criticism. Many believe Taylor, one of the greatest female boxers of all time, would easily dominate Rousey. And once again, social media jumped on Rousey’s striking footage. One fan joked, “Looks like a Hasbulla clip.”

One fan wrote, “Lmao.”

A fan claps back on her previous loss: “Nothing’s changed. Same form she had against Amanda.”

Another fan wrote: “They said she was gonna out box Floyd.”

Another fan said, “Shadow wins by KO.”

A fan wrote: “Shadow seizure.”

This isn’t the first time fans have trolled Rousey for her striking, and it won’t be the last. For now, everyone is waiting to see where she returns, whether it’s UFC or boxing.

Ali Abdelaziz Says Ronda Rousey Vs. Kayla Harrison Could Be Bigger Than Conor McGregor Vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

One of the biggest fights in combat sports history is still Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Fans still watch the clips every day, and the hype around that rivalry hasn’t slowed down. But according to Ali Abdelaziz, Rousey vs. Kayla Harrison could be even bigger.

Speaking with MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz said, “I think Rousey-Kayla is one of the biggest fights in history. It might do bigger numbers than Khabib v McGregor because of a lot of nasty sh*t in the closet.”

Harrison and Rousey share a long history. Harrison lost to Rousey twice in judo, and a trilogy fight inside the UFC would explode in popularity. But with Rousey now exploring a move to boxing, the matchup may never happen. Fans will be watching closely to see which path “Rowdy” chooses next.
