Arman Tsarukyan is proving why he’s one of the best fighters the UFC has. Tsarukyan is winning wrestling belts and winning elite-level fights. He now defeated Georgio Poullas at RAF 07 with a last-minute takedown. After this, the Armenian fighter made claims to become the best ever.

The 29-year-old is aiming far beyond just UFC gold. He wants to be remembered as one of the greatest athletes ever. After his performance at RAF 07, Tsarukyan made it clear that MMA is his main focus, but he sees wrestling and grappling as ways to sharpen his overall game without pressure. In the post-match interview with The Schmo, he said:

“My sport is MMA. Wrestling and grappling are just side quests. There’s no pressure; you just go there, you win, or you lose, nobody cares. I’m doing this for fun. People think I’m not hungry – no, guys, I’m here for a long time. I don’t just want to make money and be a UFC champion, I want to be one of the best athletes ever.”

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan also mentioned that he wants to test himself in multiple sports, including wrestling, grappling, and even boxing, if given the chance. Now, fans hope the UFC lightweight contender fights in the UFC soon.

Arman Tsarukyan Talks About His Next UFC Fight

The UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan is really active in wrestling, but not in the UFC. But after his recent win at RAF 07 against Georgio Poullas, the Armenian fighter announced that he’ll fight for a belt this summer. In a recent interview with The Schmo, he said:

“This summer I’ll fight for sure for the belt, any belt, whether it’s the BMF or a real belt.”

Tsarukyan says he’s locked in for a title fight this summer. If Tsarukyan fights for the BMF belt, then fans might see a Charles Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan rematch. Their first fight was super close, and this time, fans definitely want to see one-sided domination from one of the fighters.
